Alexander Gretchaninov short biography

A noted Russian pianist and composer and contemporary of Rachmaninov, Alexander Gretchaninov studied at the Moscow Conservatory, After the Revolution, Gretchaninov left Russia and lived for a short period in Paris before moving to the United States. Totally resisting modern influences, Gretchaninov composed in the old Russian romantic traditions.
